With 60-80 inches of rain per year, the north shore is the rainiest side of the island. With that comes incredibly green foliage and amazing views. With laid back communities in the towns of Kiluea, Haena, Hanalei and Anini and the upscale community of Princeville, the north shore is quite a mix. Hanalei Bay is a great spot for family fun and water sports, with restaurants and shops nearby in town. The bay is calm during the summer, allowing for paddle boarding, sailing and kayaking. In the winter months, Hanalei is known for it’s high swell and big surf. At Kee Beach you will reach ``The End of the Road`` which is where the Napali coast begins on the North Shore. For adventurers, the Kalalau Trail is a day hike that ends at Hanakapiai Beach at the base of the valley with stunning views of the pristine Napali coast.
